This project has not been postponed. Franchise utilities (Dominion Energy, Verizon, etc) are scheduled to begin relocation in the next two weeks, if not sooner and the work is to begin as soon as the ordered hardware arrives. I anticipate work to begin in late Spring and finish up by end of summer.
Mail Delivery
Do NOT block the mailboxes during business hours. We have been advised by the Postal carrier that cars will begin being towed if they are blocking the mail truck from parking at the curb during business hours including Saturdays.
Do not place bulk items at the curb until Wed night
Be sure to schedule your bulk pickup online at cityofchesapeak.net (you can schedule up until 5pm Wed evening)
Large appliances (refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, etc) should have the door removed
Please Clean Up After Your Pets
The City of Chesapeake has and enforces a "Leash Law" for cats and dogs. This Law will also be enforced by Southlakes Homeowner’s Association.
Pet owners are responsible for the immediate removal and proper disposal of animal waste in ALL areas of the property. That means you must use a device to pick up, carry away and dispose of waste your pet leaves behind...AT ALL TIMES.
Pet owners are responsible for any property damage, injury, or disturbances caused by their pet. Please Help Keep the Community Clean!
We are currently looking for volunteers for the:
Social committee- planning and assisting with community social events
